BOB SADINO



                Bob Sadino is one of successful entrepreneurs in Indonesia. He was born on Tanjungkarang, Lampung, March 9, 1933. He started his business in the field of food and livestock. That is Kemfood and Kemchick. The fashion of Bob Sadino who always as simple as a white short-sleeved and short pants, reflect that he is a simple person.
          Bob Sadino is someone who is born on a wealthy family. Since his parents died, his entire wealth inherited, because his brothers and sisters were considered sufficiently established. His wealth was put in to get around the world and eventually he stopped for 9 years in Netherlands. In the Netherlands, he worked in Djakarta Lylod located in Amsterdam and Hamburg, Germany. At that moment, he was found his soulmate, Soelami Soejoed.
          In 1967, Bob and his family returned to Indonesia. He brought two Mercedes cars made in 1967, he sold the car to buy land in Kemang, South Jakarta. While the other car still he kept. After a while he live in Indonesia, finally he took the extreme decision that is out of his job.
          Initial effort which he did after getting out of his job is by renting a Mercedes car and he became a driver. But unfortunately, he had an accident which resulted in his car badly damaged. He didn’t have the money to fix the car, finally he turned the work into a mason. Earning only Rp. 100,- , had make  him depressed.
          Finally, he gets advice from his friend for raising chickens. From there, he started a new business as a chicken farmer. Everyday, he and his wife sold a few pounds of chicken eggs. Within a year and a half, they have many customers, especially foreigners, because they were fluent in English. Althougt initially a lot of criticism and insult they receive, but they never give up and still continue to correct any errors. Finally, he became the sole owner of Kem Chicks Supermarket.
          His business continues to grow rapidly, to venturing into agribusiness, especially holticulture, managing vegetable garden for the consumer in Indonesia. He also formed a partnership with farmers in several regions in Indonesia.
          Each step of success always start with failure after failure. For him, money is not the number one. The important things is the willingness, commitment, daring search and seize opportunities.
